Arb Radar — Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 3, 2026
The short version: everything stays on your device.
Arb Radar has no server, no accounts, and no analytics. We never see your data
— we couldn't even if we wanted to.
What Arb Radar collects
- Listings you browse. When you visit supported marketplace
sites (Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, OfferUp, Mercari), the extension
reads the listing information already displayed on the page — title, price,
location, listing URL, and image URL — and stores it locally in your
browser so it can show you a deal feed.
- Settings you enter. Your fee-model preference and
(optionally) your own Anthropic API key are stored locally in your browser's
extension storage.
What Arb Radar does not do
- It does not send your browsing data, captured listings,
or any personal information to us or to any third-party server. There is no
Arb Radar server.
- It does not collect analytics, telemetry, or usage
statistics.
- It does not read pages other than the supported
marketplace sites listed above.
- It does not sell or share any data with anyone, for any
purpose.
Network requests the extension makes
- eBay (ebay.com): to estimate an item's value, the
extension loads eBay's public sold-listings search results for that item,
the same way you would by searching eBay yourself. Only the item's search
terms are sent to eBay.
- Anthropic (api.anthropic.com): only if you use the
optional Photo Scan feature and have entered your own Anthropic API
key in Settings. The photo you choose is sent directly from your browser to
Anthropic's API to identify the item. Your key and photos are never sent
anywhere else. Anthropic's handling of API data is governed by
Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Marketplace listing pages you explicitly paste into the
link-import box are fetched to extract that one listing's details.
Affiliate links
Some eBay links in Arb Radar may be affiliate links through the eBay
Partner Network. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a
commission at no cost to you. Affiliate tagging adds no tracking beyond
eBay's own standard link parameters and tells us nothing about you.
Data retention and deletion
All captured data lives in your browser's local extension storage.
Removing the extension deletes everything. No copies exist anywhere else.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL
with a new effective date. Because the extension sends us nothing, changes
can only ever describe local behavior.
